The buses

Three party buses, three group sizes

A party bus is the answer when the group is too big for a limo, or when you want everyone standing, dancing and facing each other rather than sat in a line. Ours all have the same idea inside: bench seating around the edge, a bar, colour-changing LED lighting and a sound system you connect your own phone to.

Starlite silver 16 seater party bus

16 Seater Party Bus

The big one. Silver VW Crafter, sixteen seated passengers, the full light show and the loudest sound system in the fleet. Hen and stag groups, big birthdays and prom groups who want to travel together rather than in two limos.

Starlite black Mercedes 12 seater party bus

12 Seater Mercedes Party Bus

The black executive. A Mercedes Sprinter with a smarter, darker interior that suits race days, corporate nights out and 40ths and 50ths as well as it suits a hen do. Twelve seated passengers.

Starlite white 8 seater party bus

8 Seater Party Bus

The small group option and the one most parents book for children’s parties and teenage birthdays: same lights and music, a size that fits a normal driveway, and a price that starts lower.

On board

What a Starlite party bus is actually like

The inside is the point

Leather bench seating down both sides so everyone faces each other, a bar with glassware, laser and LED lighting you can set to a colour or leave cycling, and a sound system with Bluetooth so your playlist is the playlist. The 16 seater has the most room to move; the 12 and 8 seaters are the same idea at a smaller scale.

Drinks

Complimentary bubbly and soft drinks are on board for every booking. You are welcome to bring your own drinks as well, and there is ice and glassware for them.

Seats mean seats

Sixteen, twelve and eight are the licensed seated capacities. Everyone has a seat and a seatbelt for the journey, and we will not carry more than the figure, so if your group is seventeen the answer is two vehicles or a bus plus a limo, and we would rather tell you that at quote stage than on the night.

Your own chauffeur

All Starlite drivers are employed by us and DBS checked. They know the venues, they text you when they are ten minutes away, and they wait as long as the booking says.

Occasions

What people hire the party buses for

Hen parties

Our most-booked party bus job. Into Milton Keynes, Northampton or London for the night, with a stop at a bar or restaurant built into the timings.

Stag dos

The 16 seater, the music up, a race day or a night in town. Tell us the whole evening at quote stage rather than adding legs on the night.

Birthdays

18ths, 21sts, 30ths, 40ths and 50ths. The bus is the pre-drinks, the journey and the arrival in one.

Children’s parties

The 8 seater with soft drinks, balloons and the music kept PG. A growing part of what we do, and the reason our drivers are DBS checked.

School proms

When the friendship group is bigger than a limo. Prom Fridays in late June and early July go first every year.

Where we cover

Party bus hire across our area, and into London

The buses are kept at Arlesey in Bedfordshire, which puts every town below within an hour, and central London within ninety minutes.

Party bus hire London

Nights out in the West End, the O2, Wembley and the Christmas lights tour. Pick-up from home so nobody is driving.

Cost

What party bus hire costs

Hire starts from £295. Where your quote lands depends on four things.

Which bus

The 8 seater is the least expensive to run, the 16 seater the most, and the Mercedes sits between them.

The date

Friday and Saturday nights, prom season, bank holidays and December are the busiest dates and price accordingly.

Distance

The journey itself plus the positioning run from Arlesey. Luton is a shorter run than central London.

The shape of the night

A pick-up, a wait and a return is straightforward. Several stops across town over five hours is a different job.

The price guide goes through this in more detail. For an exact figure, send the date, pickup postcode, destination, passenger numbers and timings.

Party bus FAQs

Questions we are asked before people book

How many people fit on a party bus?

Sixteen on the silver VW, twelve on the black Mercedes and eight on the white Ford. Those are licensed seated figures and we do not exceed them. For bigger groups we run two vehicles.

Can we bring our own drinks?

Yes. Complimentary bubbly and soft drinks are already on board, and you are welcome to bring your own; there is ice and glassware. No drinking for anyone under 18.

Can we play our own music?

Yes, every bus has Bluetooth. Bring the playlist, we will bring the volume.

Do you do one-way journeys?

Yes. One way, return, or continuous hire with the bus staying with you for the evening. The price guide explains the difference.

Do you go into London?

Every week. See party bus hire London for how those nights work, including the congestion charge and where we can and cannot stop.

How far ahead should we book?

For a Friday or Saturday in summer or December, two to three months. Midweek and off-season dates can often be done at a week’s notice.

“We hired a party bus for a hen do and had the most incredible night! Prices competitive with no hidden costs and everything ran smoothly and on time. Our driver Martin was amazing. It's like a nightclub on wheels with your own music, drinks included and great disco lights.”

“We hired the party bus for a trip to Newmarket races yesterday. This was the first time using this company and it definitely won’t be the last. The communication was clear , the driver(Daniel) was friendly and accommodating and the price was spot on. Great time had by all. Would highly recommend.”

“My boyfriend booked the party bus for myself and six friends for my birthday, and we had such a good time! Shoutout to Jacko, our driver, who was an absolute legend. If you're looking for the perfect way to kick off a night out, this is the way to pre-drink.”
