Who are Make-A-Wish?
Make-A-Wish exist for one reason – to grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.
Whether it’s starring in their own films, feeding tigers, meeting a celebrity hero, or having a bedroom redesigned just so; Make-A-Wish wishes are varied, personal and life-changing. Make-A-Wish go above and beyond to grant amazing wishes to amazing children when they need it most. Because a child’s life shouldn’t be about illness, hospitals and diagnosis – it should be about wonder, joy and hope.

Aiden’s Chelsea Wish

Alex’s Prom
“just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in Alex wish, expectations were exceeded in each part of her day.
Before diagnosis one area that Alex missed was dressing up for her prom, it was not so much her attending the prom but for years she had spoken about her dress and photographs to keep as memories, that is why her wish was to dress up and have photographs to look back on.
Having the Limousine was a great surprise, the driver made her feel relaxed and even rolled out the red carpet, there was balloons inside and we listened to music on the way to Chelsea. The driver was so flexible and friendly making her feel like a celebrity for the day.
When we arrived at the modelling agency we did not know what to expect, we were shocked at the number of people involved in the shoot, and were greeted with real warmth. Stephen O’Hara from Genesis is an inspirational role model to the younger generation, so modest in his success and he made Alex feel so special for the day, which has really helped her confidence. The photographer, makeup artist and those dressing Alex made her feel on top of the world just as we thought the outfits could not get any better they just kept on coming with the final outfit of the most beautiful gold dress. Alex is truly delighted with the final photographs and we really cannot thank everyone involved enough.
We also had a lovely meal at TJI Friday that finished the day perfectly
Watching Alex glow and being so happy was wonderful to watch, everyone involved showed kindness, thoughtfulness and sensitivity, thank you all for bringing her so much joy, it’s a day we will always remember.
